There are many ways to prototype a plastic part. At Bennett Plastics, we tailor the right prototype solution based on your product needs. From 3D printing to hand sculpted models, we offer a variety of services to choose from.
Casting is beneficial for any clients looking to create fully functioning parts. The following specific types of casting can help you to accomplish your prototyping goals:
Machining is a necessary service that can help any client exponentially prior to producing a design in large quantities. This is because by creating a small number of parts, a client can then ensure that functionality and other intricate details are correct before money is wasted on producing a batch with a design that has uncovered issues. Some specific machining services Bennett Plastics offers include:
Laser cutting is another tool we utilize for creating exact shapes, typically in ¼ inch sheets of plastic acrylic. We can also laser cut wooden shapes.
This is where custom built parts or figures that are hand sculpted are finished and painted.
Product development encompasses a multitude of steps to create the product, including brainstorming, planning, designing, etc. Our comprehensive product development services include:
Bennett Plastics offers injection molds built for short production runs. These types of mold are often built for product testing and prototyping. Although 3D printing is an excellent method for prototyping, it does not provide all of the physical properties of injection molded plastic parts. To be 100% sure of the function, feel, or performance of the final injection molded part, a one cavity, prototype mold is strongly recommended. Prototype molds are made with either aluminum or tool steel and are a fraction of the cost of the final production mold. Prototype molds allow you to limit your initial investment in the product testing/launch phase. Once the product has been tested and feedback has been given, we can build the high volume, multi-cavity production mold.
At Bennett Plastics, we help clients turn ideas into a physical reality. Whether you are looking to make a 3D CAD model of your product or need us to create a tangible prototype to show clients, investors, etc., our professional team is here to help. To learn more about our 3D prototyping services,
